If you are purchasing VASS Shoes for the first time, it’s best to choose the size you usually wear for lace-up leather shoes (definitely not sneakers)!
We use EU sizes and produce the shoes with regular-F fit (however shoes with different fit can be ordered).

You can check your size with the slider. – Set your foot length to determine the ideal shoe size.
When measuring, always stand with your heel firmly against the wall.
Our most important tips for choosing the right size and last:
1. Choose the familiar shape that is most similar to the style you usually wear.
2. If the front part of your feet is slightly wider, or if you have a higher arch, or if you simply prefer a roomier fit, you may go up by half a size to one size.
Be cautious with excessive upward sizing on elongated lasts, as a broken toe cap is not aesthetically pleasing!
3. If your arch is low or you often experience loose fitting around the toe, consider sizing down by a half size, especially with elongated lasts. The elongated toe area provides some extra space.
4. If you frequently need to slip in and out of your shoes (i.e. customers in Japan), opt for one size larger.
Further suggestions:
- For Slippers, we generally recommend going half a size down to prevent the heel from slipping out – unless you either prefer a looser fit or it’s not feasible due to the strength of the arch.
- For high boots, we usually go half a size up since they are often worn with thicker socks and some extra room is needed.
- When stepping into elongated lasts (U, F, K, S), if you feel the need for more room, you can go half a size up.
Be cautious when sizing up on the S last, as it is relatively long. Avoid excessive sizing up. S last is better suited for narrower feet. - If you have normal heels that are a bit narrow, choose the U, F, or K last.
- For standard or slightly wider feet with traditional yet elegant needs, select the P2 last.
- For wider, stronger feet, or if you prefer more traditional shapes, opt for the BP, 3636, or P lasts.
